New Australian Greens spokesperson for Water and Murray Darling Basin, Robert Simms, says that putting water under the control of the Agriculture Minister is a big mistake and will hurt South Australia.

Senator Simms says our water security is too important to play political games with.

"Putting Barnaby Joyce and the Nationals in charge of the Murray River is like putting Count Dracula in charge of the blood bank," Senator Simms said.
